Primark Festival Dress

Primark Festival Dress As a girl on a budget I love nothing more than a bargain and this Primark Festival Dress is the ULTIMATE bargain!

I have to admit Primark sometimes frightens me, it can get a little bit frantic and there are clothes all over the floor and people scrambling around for bargains and I feel like I am in a war zone where it’s every man for themselves! However, sometimes I am very brave and venture into the breach in order to bag myself a bargain and this Primark Festival Dress was well worth the stress!

Primark Festival Dress At only £10, this dress had to be purchased. I really love the print detail across the fabric with the hem and sleeve red patterned detail which adds a great pop of colour and makes it so much more flattering. I have a couple of parties and a mini festival to attend this summer and the Primark Festival Dress is on the top of my list for getting packed! So far I’ve teemed it with my Bertie chunky sandals and my new favourite French Connection strappy emerald heels. I am also keen to try it out with a pair of flats and a top thrown over the top to make it layered as a top and skirt combo with the funky hem line and sleeves showing. I love a dress that is versatile enough to be worn for different occasions and to get layered up. A capsule wardrobe is an absolute must for me!

Ladies Day Cheltenham Races Outfit

LadiesDayOutfit I’ve lived in Gloucestershire for most of my life and have never been to the Cheltenham Races for Gold Cup Week! And now it’s finally time for me to go on Ladies day of all days!! Yippee! Up until this weekend though I was having a mad panic over what to wear! I was adamant I didn’t want to spend a fortune on a whole load of clothes that I may not wear again and my priority was to buy a nice coat which will last me a good few years. On top of that there is the added pressure of the hat. Everyone knows that ladies day is all about the hats! So here’s my outfit of choice, the only things I purchase now was the coat and some feathers, everything else was already knocking about in my wardrobe and waiting to be worn.

ladiesdayhatFor the hat, I purchased some feathers from Amazon, and wound some wire around the base to hold them all together. The brooch is an old brooch that previously belonged to my Nana, I threaded the pin through the wire and then through the felt band around the hat, and hey presto I had a cute little feather and glitz feature!

The coat was my big expense for this outfit, but like I said I wanted to invest in something that was classic and would last me a good few years. And now is definitely the time to be looking, with stores switching over to their SS15 stock all of the winter coats are hitting the sale rails! So go and grab yourself a bargain. My French Connection coat was reduced from £190 to £95! And I can definitely see it being a firm favourite!

My Top Outfits So Far

August Favourite Clothes So Far

Fashion Friday means I get to share my top picks with you guys from this month so far! And I wanted to show off the staple items I have in my wardrobe!

  1. A yellow prom dress which doubles as a skirt!
  2. A breton striped top, great for layering or with a pair of jeans
  3. A leather jacket – need I say more
  4. Leopard print shoes! They add fun and style to ANY outfit
  5. A fun vest top for laidback style
  6. My denim shirt – you all know how much I LOVE this!

All of these pieces get worn over and over again, and I can really mix them up with so many different items 🙂

Happy Friday everyone!!

My Casual Style

Sometimes my work requires me to be up and about all day, running around, sorting out deliveries, rummaging through boxes, climbing ladders so my outfits need to be practical so I don’t accidentally flash someone! And they also need to be cute and reflect who I am. So here’s how I put together an outfit that does just that! My leopard print leggings bring my personality and style to any outfit. This high necklined superdry dress is crinkly so firstly I don’t have to worry about creasing it, secondly I’m not accidentally going to flash my cleavage at anyone and thirdly the length is just right (mid thigh) to be flattering and not indecent! I decided to team this outfit with a pair of black cowboy boots which are practical and comfy with a really low heel. I love the chain detail along the back of the heel which goes with the tougher look of this outfit.

French Connection Dress

Now that I’ve nearly reach my 2 stone weightloss mark I am having a field day shopping for new dresses to wear for parties and weddings! I recently bought this beautiful FCUK dress to wear to a works party. The dress is a neutral colour so I really wanted to make a statement with my all time favourite party shoes which are a furry leopard print with a gold heel (I promise they aren’t as tacky as they sound!) and then used a bold gold necklace with turquoise (my fave!) and coral stones to add some colour and make the dress less bland. The shape is also really flattering as it flares out from your waist and skims over the hips and thighs 🙂 It’s just a shame that I had to spend half the night reapplying foundation to my legs to try and hid the bruises I’d managed to get the week before! Oops!

All dressed up and ready to party at #boxxed #birmingham #fcuk dress #faith shoes #topshop necklace #d&g watch a great night was had by all!!

M&Co 1940s Tea Dress

I love working out and getting a sweat on but whilst I may be a sweaty grunting mess when I work out I do love to dress like a girly girl and be a lady when I’m not exercising! The sun has been shining on us lately so I thought I would make the most of it and break out this gorgeous M&Co 1940s red floral tea dress. The silky material feels great against your skin and makes you feel nice and cool in all this heat. The red, floral pattern gives a vibrant and playful feel to outfit and they always say people who wear red are more confident, so maybe that explains why I got more done at work that day!! I decided because the dress is bold and a bit of a statement I would wear it with my trusty neutral Berties sandals and my New Look trilby. Will definitely be getting plenty of wear out of this dress over the summer 🙂

Today I am embracing the sunshine and wearing a pretty red floral tea dress with my #bertie shoes #newlook trilby and my #breo #lustre watch. #ilovesummer
