Paleo Indonesian Beef

Indonesian Spiced Beef

At the moment I am really enjoying trying basic recipes but changing the spices used to give it that extra edge and mouth watering taste. This one is a really quick dish and I loved making this post workout because it meant I didn’t have to slave away in the kitchen for hours, it was just a case of chuck it all in a pan and stir occasionally.

Ingredients:

  1. 1/2 tsp ground coriander
  2. 1/2 tsp ginger
  3. 1/2 tsp caraway
  4. 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  5. 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  6. 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  7. 1/2 tsp cardamom
  8. 1/2 tsp cloves
  9. Pinch black pepper
  10. 2 sirloin steaks
  11. 1 green pepper
  12. 1 red chilli
  13. 2 tbsp melted ghee or coconut oil

Method:

  1. Mix all of the spices together and then add the ghee or coconut oil and stir to make a spice paste
  2. Chop the sirloin steaks in to strips or chunks
  3. Then coat the beef in the seasoning spice mix
  4. Pop in a pan on a medium heat and stir occasionally
  5. Whilst the beef is cooking chop up the green pepper and the red chilli and add to the beef
  6. Once the beef is cooked through it’s ready to serve. Try serving with cauliflower rice for a paleo option, or with courgette spaghetti
