At last!!! I have finally found a chunky watch that fits my tiny wrists!! I have lived my adult life never being able to find a chunky watch or boyfriend style watch that doesn’t make me look like a child playing dress up!! I love the Breo Axis Watch so much that I couldn’t not give it a raving review, but I think the fact that I have had so many compliments about these watches speaks for itself! My very basic review of the Breo Axis watch is that it goes with everything, and can easily take you from day to night and doesn’t look out of place. But read on for my full review of the watches.
The first breo axis watch I wore was the tortoiseshell and silver design. The transparent tortoiseshell pattern gives it some warmth and style. The sunray effect dial contrasts with the hands and makes it easy to read at a glance despite being a minimalist and simplistic design. The face is smooth and glossy so gives it some elegance, as breo says you can “kiss bland goodbye”!
The soft silicone straps make it comfortable and lightweight, you almost forget that you are wearing it which is quite an achievement with such a large watch. I’ve not tested it’s waterproofing yet but Breo claims that the watch is water resistant up to 3 ATM. However, submerging my watches in water is something I try to avoid doing!
The second breo axis watch that I tried was the cyan and grey strapped version with a smoke gun metal face.
Again all of the technical features are the same but what I love about this one is the gun metal face with the contrasting hands.
As I am fairly pale skinned I tend to opt for what I consider to be warmer colours so either a brown or gold detail, whereas as this watch has a metal steely theme, however I think the colour pop with the cyan / turquoise strap I felt it really brought something to my outfit and it made it fun and edgy with the stylish simple face making it a feature to help take it from day to night.
The final style that I tried is actually my favourite! Always save the best for last! This is the grey silver and clear colours. The dial is completely clear and makes the silver face really stand out and shine. I also love that the strap is ever so slightly 2 tone but it’s not overly obvious. I have worn this with a dress and hidden wedge trainers during the day, as well as with leggings and a tee. I have also worn this with the same dress but strappy going out heels and I can honestly say it doesn’t look mismatched or out of place with either outfit. When I go away with work I want to pack light and be prepared for all occasions and this watch is the one that I will be packing! I was wearing this sat at my desk the other day and I have to say when a male colleague notices and comments on your accessories it’s definitely the one to take notice off!
At £45 per watch I would absolutely put the Breo Axis into the affordable fashion range. It’s affordable, practical, stylish and most importantly doesn’t compromise on quality. And to be honest if anything gets me a compliment I would happily pay double that! But thankfully you don’t need to 🙂
Which one will you get? And what will you wear it with?
Love Roo xx
